On 6th November, Dr. Theo Gavrielides visited Volos, Greece where he spoke about the role of restorative justice in addressing the impact of the recession on crime.

The conference was organised by Volos' Rotary club "Argos" and was titled "Crisis and Criminality". Gavrielides was joined by Greece's two of the most distinguished criminologists Prof. Panousis and Prof. Artinopoulou.

Gavrielides' presentation focused on the impact of the economic downturn on young people's lives and highlighted some key lessons from the UK. He spoke about the recent riots in London and other UK cities and how restorative justice could be used to provide victims and offenders with options.
